Tamar helps Lloyds TSB to the #1 Defaqto ranking for best motor insurance comparison site in 2008
Challenge
- To develop a new white
labelled insurance aggregator
website.
- The need to ensure the new website was
designed to maximise the visitor to quote conversion
ratio
- To ensure that the new site was best
in class.
Solution
- Tamar provided
advice on issues relating to
usability, user conversion and
SEO at the outset of the
project.
- Given the aggressive nature of the project
timeframes and the geographic locations of both companies, Tamar
and Lloyds TSB formed a "virtual" project team for
the build portion of the project.
- This allowed the team members to communicate
and share information on a daily basis.
- In the projects post implementation review,
all parties agreed that the strong relationships that were formed
by the creation of the virtual team were the single biggest
factor contributing to the project's
success.
Results
It was decided that achieving the #1 Defaqto
ranking for motor insurance comparison sites would be a successful
measure of the site's success and after its launch in March 2008 it
received the coveted award in November.
